Being Joshua is hard work. After overcoming his grogginess with a few minutes of cartoons or SportsCenter (if Daddy's awake), Joshua's day begins.
First, we have some breakfast. Sometimes that requires the use of utensils slightly more interesting than plain old spoons.
Then, most mornings we have a playgroup of some kind. Sometimes we have our playgroup friends come over to our house, or we meet them somewhere fun, like the Aquarium.
Josh usually gets to play outside at some point in the morning. He especially loves to find birds and chase the cat that lives in our apartment complex. When it’s raining, we suit up and see what kind of puddles we can find.Being Josh demands creativity. One of his most favorite things to do is drink out of strange containers. If it’s vaguely round, he asks me to put water in it so he can drink out of it. Here are a few of the things he regularly wants to drink from.
Other random activities.
After lunch and a nap, we usually play outside again or walk to the grocery store. When we come back inside, especially if it’s a cold day, Josh get a special treat – hot chocolate and Backyardigans snuggled up on the couch!
When he’s not parked in front of the TV watching an episode of the Backyardigans while I finish dinner, Josh loves to help me cook. Here he is performing a quality control test on my pesto-ricotta pizza sauce. Delicious on goldfish, apparently.
Then story time with Daddy, family prayer, and into bed!

I can't believe how big he's getting. He looks like a little man! Looks like his days are fun filled! :o). I love the pic of him jumping in the big mud puddle! One of Sammy's favorite past times too!
I love all the random stuff Josh stands in, eats with, or eats out of!! He looks like a totally different person with wet hair! So cute.
